Neurodivergent+ Creative Arts Organisation in Kent

MixMatched Neuroqueer Night

Hosting our second ever Neuroqueer night…. we had a range of fabulous entertainment!

Some stand out features were Ellen Jones’ hand-made Kimono garment, Sian Cameron (MixMatched First!) very informative and also heartfelt speech upon the importance of Kink community, and the harm of kink shaming, and the antics of “Autistic Assemble” Superhero (and sidekick!) improvisational comedy group! We were also graced by Dan Kennet, armed with a guitar, performing a beautiful instrumental (he promises to sing next time!) Marion Armstrong, who spoke upon the current climate of support for Neurodivergent Individuals in the UK (and the need for it to be much more nuanced!)  Miriam, traveling from Germany, treated us to an excerpt of her novel, and, always open to comedy we had both Adam Door and Aaron Kay, stand-ups who embrace Neurodivergence, humour and awkward interactions!  Our night was Finished off by our youngest performer yet, Whisper Embers!- who, true to the theme of the night, spoke upon his own experiences of identity and gender before performing a energetic, joy filled lipsync.

Thanks everyone for coming!!! – We hope to see you at our next night upon the 4th of October 7.00-9.30pm, at The Mooring Cafe!!! (optional theme, ‘Dreams and Nightmares!)
