About this event:
Set in the lovely new Books for Waiting bookshop inside Whitstable Train Station, this workshop uses the setting as inspiration for a series of creative writing exercises that will open up your creativity.
Whether you’re a seasoned writer or complete beginner, you‘re welcome to join. But tickets are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
The workshop will be led by Emma Robdale – writer, performer and co-host of the new, successful and neuro-divergent friendly spoken word nights in Canterbury, Mixmatched.
Location: Whitstable station, Old Bridge Road, Whitstable, Kent, CT5 1RB
Duration: 2 hr
The venue is literally inside the train station, in what was previously a waiting room, so the simplest way to get there is to just get a train to Whitstable!
what happened at the event:
We were booked up at this small venue. All participants enjoyed an intimate experience, learning how to use parts of old stories to make new ones… Participants scoured the book store for inspiration. Participants took part in a number of short creative writing activities encouraging them to engage with different texts and styles; they incorporated a number of unrelated sentences into new narratives.
