The music workshop that took place in Canterbury on 6th November was student led, and thus they wanted to focus on music technology and recording as they had either and some experience or wanted to know more. Through writing a piece of oringinal music, the students took it in turns to add a layer to the song, whether live viola, midi piano or drumloops. The workshop became quite advanced very quickly due to the focus of some of the group members. This i was aware of and checked in and they said it was fine. I was concerned for one individual who seemed to struggle a little and came up with an idea to involve him more, but he left before i had a chance to implement it which i feel was the learning point of the evening for me. The rest of the group though seemed to gain an awful lot from the activities and were eager for more, with one participant keeping me back for an hour to continue toalking about it, which was great.
