Neurodivergent+ Creative Arts Organisation in Kent

MixMatched Presents at Creativity, Creative Arts, and Neurodivergence Conference

MixMatched was invited to present its research at the Open University’s conference on Creativity, Creative Arts, and Neurodivergence Conference, which presented between Thursday, June 19, 2025 – 15:00 to Saturday, June 21.

MixMatched progressions were presented alongside other Creative Neurodivergent+ organisations’ research. Dr Emma Robdale put the PowerPoint display together; it combined some of her own research on Neurodivergent+ Culture and Creativity with the lived/learned experiences and projects of the MixMatched Collective. Alice Riley went in person to deliver the presentation, and Adam Dorr joined via Zoom. Together they spoke upon MixMatched findings and how participants have responded to MM events. This was followed by a brief Q and A, with their being a optional creative writing activity on Authentic Voice (and breaking grammatical conventions) that participants could do in their own time.

This was a wonderful opportunity for MixMatched to showcase what it has been doing and be recognized/champion of ND+ progressions within academia.

Below is the Power-Point shared at the conference. It briefly condenses Dr Robdale (MixMatched founder’s) research on ‘Mad Pride’ and ‘The Survivor’s Movement’ and then moved onto the MixMatched project…
